Save the Children fights for children's rights. We deliver immediate and lasting improvements to children's lives worldwide.
Save the Children has an ongoing commitment to Haiti that goes back to its first programs in 1978. We plan to assist Haiti through a 5-year relief-to-recovery effort to rebuild. Strengthening the capacity of Haitians and their institutions—governmental and non-governmental alike—will enable Haiti’s people to play a more active role in managing their own future.
Child-Friendly spaces were established across Haiti to provide safe places for children while their parents engaged in relief-related activities, such as gathering water, rebuilding their homes or reestablishing their livelihoods.
