Emergency Response – FR
At Save the Children, with the support of dedicated donors across the world, we save lives by responding to emergencies caused by natural disasters, disease outbreaks, armed conflict, and forced displacement.
During and after emergencies, children are at risk of abuse and exploitation, and they often stop going to school. We ensure children survive, and that their right to learn, play and enjoy a childhood is protected, no matter what is going on around them.
Current Disaster Relief and Emergency Response
Right now, we have emergency appeals raising vital funds for our work with children and families in Yemen and parts of East Africa and for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
Rohingya Crisis
Approximately 60% of the more than 700,000 Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh are children.
Child Hunger Crisis
Millions of children are on the brink of starvation in parts of Africa and Yemen.
Child Refugee Crisis
The number of displaced people in the world is higher than ever before. We’re providing support to children and families in war zones and to those who’ve been able to escape to safety across borders.
